ORIGIN/PURPOSE: The Harford Center, Inc. was created by Bill No. 78-3, Article XXV of the Harford County Code. Since 1961, The Harford Center has supported its community by providing adults with disabilities the opportunity to have a meaningful day. The Harford Center provides day habilitation and supported employment services to adults with differing abilities. We promote dignity, safety, stability, choice, and community integration. Through individualized programming, each participant at the Harford Center is able to choose what brings meaning into their lives. The Harford Center is funded through a combination of State, Federal, and local grant dollars. Additionally, The Harford Center receives an annual appropriation from the Harford County Government. Through this funding, Harford County citizens with differing abilities can fully participate, enjoy, and work in their community. FY 24 GOAL: CONTINUE TO PROVIDE HIGH-QUALITY SERVICES THAT ARE INDIVIDUALIZED TO ENSURE THAT EACH PERSON HAS A MEANINGFUL DAY, EVERY DAY.
