To provide financial assistance to the County from BMC supporting the Regional Transportation Planning Process that is essential to the work program outlined in the federally mandated Metropolitan Organization. Work activities include preparation of the Transportation Improvement Program to Regional Cooperative forecasting of population growth throughout the region. Funds are provided to purchase interests in real property from willing sellers, including fee estates, easements and other interests in real property, for preservation of land in key areas of Maryland enhancing natural resource, agricultural, forestry and environmental protection. Grant provides additional funds to hire a consultant to develop Historic Preservation Design Guidelines
