ORIGIN/PURPOSE:

The Electrical Services Division was created by Executive Order No. 73-8 and later adopted by Bill No. 78-3.

This Division is responsible for issuing permits and performing inspections of all new electrical installations of light, heat, or power within or on public and private buildings, structures or premises in the County, including yards, carnivals, parking lots, fairs, industrial substations and installations covered by the National Electric Code. Additionally, this Division prepares, administers, and grades electrical examinations for master, limited, restricted and journeymen licenses and assists in enforcement of code and license violations. This Division cooperates with the State Fire Marshal, when requested on fire damage of possible electrical origin. FY 24 GOALS:
