ORIGIN & PURPOSE : The O ffi ce on Aging serves as the single point of entry for seniors and adults age 18 and older who are living with disabilities as well as their caregivers . The O ffi ce works to strengthen our communities by serving as the premier resource for services and to help our target populations achieve an optimal quality of life and personal well - being . The O ffi ce provides information and assistance to adults living with disabilities and their caregivers to enable them to remain independent with an enhanced quality of life . The O ffi ce also provides a broad array of programs and services to support the needs of older adults in our community through direct service provision , referral , case management and advocacy . The O ffi ce on Aging also runs fi ve senior activity centers throughout Harford County , empowering citizens with knowledge and promoting life - long physical and mental health . Furthermore , the O ffi ce on Aging strives to continuously improve the network of available services to ensure e ffi cient , e ff ective , and proactive assistance for all Harford County citizens .
