ORIGIN & PURPOSE :

The Stormwater Management group is responsible for : Plan review and approval for stormwater management and sediment control facilities for all private and public construction projects Post - construction / maintenance inspections for completed stormwater management facilities Administration of the stormwater management and sediment control program is delegated by the Maryland Department of the Environment ( MDE ). Recent updates to the state stormwater management regulations have required new development to focus on designing and constructing smaller and more e ff ective stormwater management facilities resulting in a signi fi cantly larger number of facilities being constructed . The new regulations have increased plans review times and the time required to complete inspections .

GOALS : Coordinate all activities of the project team Manage the permit and review process Meet functional needs of customer agencies
