PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The funds will be used to replace the 21 year old failing air-cooled rotary screw chiller with a new energy efficient air-cooled chiller. The current chiller has been previously identified as requiring replacement. Recently, it has experienced increased failures that caused the school to be without cooling for a short period. Future problems could lead to additional damage done to the internal components of the chiller. There is a risk of possible permanent damage and loss of cooling for an extended period of time.
