PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Conservation easements help preserve Harford County's forests and other natural resources that are imperative to maintaining water quality. This project will be used to build a program for creating and maintaining conservation easements, which are designated by MDE as an alternative practice for obtaining impervious acres credit toward the County's municipal MS4 permit requirement. The next phase of the program will require the purchase of conservation easements.
