PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project is to use advanced telecommunications infrastructure to increase access to the web and other computer utilities for citizens, businesses and governmental entities within Harford County. The HMAN will allow consideration of existing disparate communication networks into a single secure high speed IP network providing internet; Ethernet and voice over IP, serve as Harford County's communications backbone for all current and future technologies, reduction of cost for Harford County Government and its sister organizations' complete coverage of the County for internet access and increased bandwidth for both government, public safety, education, health care, commercial and residential users a single infrastructure, with complete sovereignty and security, on an advanced consolidated core backbone.
