Operate and maintain public infrastructure in a manner to achieve a high level of service at low total lifecycle cost Preserve adequate open space to safeguard the quality of life within the County Review opportunities for redevelopment of existing, aging structures and sites to support economic development Expand Cyber Security program to protect County data and infrastructure Promote the use of advanced technologies and innovative practices Emergency Response & Public Safety Objective : Maintain public safety by funding and fostering collaboration among various agencies and stakeholders in emergency response and improve readiness and response through training, planning, and resource allocation. Core Strategies : Establish and maintain a countywide professional ambulance system and ensure adequate resources, including personnel, equipment, and supplies, are available for emergency response Maintain a state-of-the-art, accredited 911 center staffed 24/7 with dedicated professionals that provide prompt and effective service Provide ample support for our law enforcement deputies and correctional officers to maintain exceptional public safety Develop and regularly review emergency response plans that address identified risks Utilize advanced technologies for communication, monitoring, and coordination during emergencies Support strong and capable volunteer fire service while planning for future needs and professional structure Maintain support for coordinated policing with municipal, local and state partners to support strong service and support to the community Education & Community Support Objective : Aim to provide high-quality learning and experiences that foster the intellectual, social, physical, and emotional development of the community Core Strategies : Partner with school systems to attain grant funding from state and federal partners for education and safety programs Invest in modern facilities and technology to support a sound foundation for education Provide funding within our means to support the state and county educational goals Leverage partnerships and support the issuance of grants to support school based programming Provide programs to promote a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle for our senior and veteran populations, and recreational facilities to serve our varied community 50
