PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project proposes the remediation of the dredged material placement site at Mariner Point Park to support future dredging projects on Joppatowne waterways. The DMP site at Mariner Point Park has reached its capacity. The necessity of continued maintenance dredging projects in the future requires capacity that is created at the current site. The project includes repaving of the parking lots and access roads at Mariner Point Park. The majority of the funding for this project will come from the Waterway Improvement Fund administered by the Department of Natural Resources. This project supports the goals and objectives of the 2018 Land Preservation, Parks and Recreation Plan and its Capital Improvement Program Recommendations.
