PROJECT DESCRIPTION: School Resource Officers (SRO's) have discovered many areas within the middle and high schools that have poor radio coverage. This project allows us to purchase and install bi-directional amplifiers (BDA's) in the schools that will greatly improve radio coverage for public safety personnel. Currently BDA's have been installed in all existing county high schools and middle schools. The bi-annual allocation of $100,000 allows us to continue to provide them for the school system as necessary and repair the ones previously installed.
