Since our Grandmother and her sister were born around 1910 the farm has been in the main location for almost all holiday and family celebrations. Our great-great-grandfather donated the land for the Providence Methodist Church and Cemetery out of the farm parcel. Wildfell est. 1874 - Darlington, MD

It is a two story, octagonal house of stacked plank construction, featuring an 8-sided roof topped by an octagonal "captains walk," flanked by two brick chimneys. The house has a simplified Federal style. It was built about 1854 and served as a summer home for the Jewett family until 1874.
