The farm was originally known as John's United Fields. It was believed that the original purchase was in 1879. The addition was built in 1880 to bring his new wife home in 1881. The Harford Creamery processing and store was built in 1893 and burned in 1903. The store was rebuilt but not the creamery. It remained a dairy farm until the late 1970s. Flowers by Bauers operates a 20,000 sqft greenhouse on the property. We grow cut flowers year round, sold at the Jarrettsville store and the self-service market on Harford Creamery Road in the old milk truck garage.
