W. Merryman Johnson died at 44, leaving the farm to be run by Savannah Johnson and her son James at the age of 12. It continued to be a dairy farm until 1997. Our farm shipped milk to the Ma & Pa railroad. We had 4 generations living at one time on the farm, and currently, have 3 generations living on the farm. Our barn on Deer Creek at Church Road was built with logs from the original Deer Creek Church. There was also a general store there. Our Ward property has been in the family since 1904 and goes back 9 generations. Meadow Branch Farm - 1956
