Urban Areas Security Initiative

Grant provides financial assistance to address the unique multidiscipline planning, operations, equipment, training, and exercise needs of high-threat, high density Urban Areas, and to assist in building and sustaining capabilities to prevent, protect against, respond to, and recover from threats and acts of terrorism. Funding is for the local Volunteer Fire Companies and the 3 Municipalities for their local Fire Companies Grant monies provide for much needed training for the Harford County Hazmat team. Grant funding will be used for the purchase of new AED equipment for the EMS units.
