Maryland Department of Aging Grants

These grants provide a variety of services to people over the age of 60; State Nutrition; Senior 1 & A; Senior Care; SALGHS, State Ombudsman and VEPI. This grant provides direct support to money follows the person services. Grant funds promote awareness of Medicare and Medicaid healthcare fraud, waste and abuse. This grant provides health insurance counseling (e.g. Medicare, private insurance, HMOs, insurance fraud, et.); assists people with organizing medical bills, and advocates with medical providers. Grant funds allow for outreach and enrollment for low income Medicare beneficiaries to help with drug premiums, copayments and deductibles. To provide subsidies to assist low income seniors to reside in residential assisted living programs. Grant funding supports Maryland Access Point and Money Follows the Person services. Provides an Opioid Program for Seniors perspective, promotes senior participation in 2020 census, provides scholarships for low income seniors to attend classes and support evidence based classes in community. These grants provide a variety of services to people over 60.
