Emergency Management Performance Grant

This grant will be used to purchase equipment for the sake of interoperability for Harford County. Activities may include preparation for or response to catastrophic events, provided that the activities also build capabilities that relate to terrorism. Funds are designated as corporate/business revenue to pay toward the Emergency Planner Position unique multidiscipline planning, operations, equipment, training, and exercise needs of high threat, high-density Urban Areas, and to assist in building and sustaining capabilities to prevent, protect against, respond to, and recover from threats and acts of terrorism. Funding is for the local Volunteer Fire Companies and the 3 Municipalities for their local Fire Companies Grant monies provide for much needed training for the Harford County Hazmat team. Grant funding will be used for the purchase of new AED equipment for the EMS units.
