State Criminal Alien Assistance
This grant provides federal funding to localities that incurred correctional costs for incarcerating undocumented criminal aliens with at least one convictions for violations of state or local law and have been incarcerated for at least four consecutive days during the reporting period. This funding will be utilized to obtain equipment which will allow the Sheriff's Office to better serve the community Undercover operators work with the county to enforce underage tobacco laws. felony or two misdemeanor This grant provides funding for existing Sheriff's Office personnel to assist in the compliance and verification process of the sex offenders registered with the HCSO Registration Program as mandated by MD law. Secure products and services to improve investigation of child abuse and exploitation crimes, better present evidence in the courtroom and raise awareness of child abuse prevention This funding will reimburse HCSO for a portion of money spent on new bulletproof vests. This grant funding assists law enforcement with the development of effective accountability procedures to achieve their goals of lawfulness and legitimacy while enhancing community
