ORIGIN & PURPOSE : The Court Services Division is comprised of fi ve integrated units that are responsible for a multitude of tasks that support Harford County ' s Judicial System . The Division ' s fi ve units consist of the Civil Process Unit , Court Security Unit , Domestic Violence Unit , O ffi ce of Child Support Enforcement Unit , and the Warrant / Fugitive Unit . The primary responsibilities of the units are the service of papers generated from Harford County Courts , security of County Government facilities and the Circuit Courthouse , the investigation and safeguard of rights for victims of domestic violence , and the apprehension of wanted persons for both child support and criminal violations . To accomplish division goals Sheri ff ' s O ffi ce personnel work closely with sta ff from the District and Circuit Courts , the State ' s Attorney ' s O ffi ce , the Family Justice Center and the legal community serving Harford County .
