INSPECTIONS, LICENSES & PERMITS Building Services Cost Center 263000

ORIGIN & PURPOSE: This Division is responsible for plans review and inspections of all construction for which building permits have been issued to ensure compliance with applicable codes. Building Services is also responsible for issuing Use and Occupancy Certificates and licenses for dogs, taxi cab drivers, towing businesses, solicitors, pawn brokers, auctioneers, pet shops, grooming for dogs, massage establishments and personal care boarding homes. This Division is accountable for funds collected for licenses, commercial, and residential plans review and maintaining appropriate records.
